Role-Playing Games Week Recap 10/26/2021
Skyrim board game, playing Steam games on your PC, and a new Halo trailer.
Skyrim board game
Gamefound has updated a project that has been in the works since February 2021. A Skyrim-based board game. Starting November 2nd you will be able to pledge towards making this game happen.
According to the schedule, the game could be in your hands in the first part of 2022. For more details see this Gamefound link.
GeForce Now users can stream on Edge on their Xbox
It’s good to see companies working together and realizing they can share an ecosystem. If you have access to GeForce Now streaming you can now test it out in the Edge browser on your Xbox. This may be a good stepping stone until Microsoft has a native app that can stream from your PC. And if your PC is outdated it might be a better experience.
Although not perfect the Edge browser also supports keyboard and mouse controls. For those that would like to use that set up on their main TV, this could be the way to go.
Halo Infinite takes on more RPG and open-world elements
While traditionally not considered a role-playing game Halo’s new trailer for Halo Infinite gives the impression that there will be quite a bit of role-playing elements available to level up your Master Chief.
Also, the trailer shows some interesting elements that remind me of open-world games. Seems a lot like they have taken some cues from Just Cause and Far Cry and mixed it in with Halo.
