Role-Playing Games Week Recap 8/2/2021
This week we get some release date info and some people are downvoting a game out of spite.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderland Release Window
Borderlands spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderland was recently announced but not much was said in the terms of a release window. It seems we now have a clearer picture and we may see this game as early as Spring 2022. I have my doubts if this game will make it during that time frame for several reasons. One we have seen no gameplay yet, two with the current state of affairs with Covid this could push things back, and three a spring release would seem like a mistake as they typically release borderlands games in the fall.
Former Elder Scrolls Devs Announce Game
Two former Elder Scrolls Devs have announced they are working on a new role-playing game. A new single-player RPG name The Wayward Realms. The devs formerly worked on Elder Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall and now have started a new studio. As we find out more info we will have a full write-up on this game. This could be a very smart move if they can get this out and help fill the gap since Elder Scrolls 6 is so far out.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remastered gets review bombed
Final Fantasy Pixel Remastered is getting review bombed on Metacritic. Why? Because the game isn’t on consoles. Seems there is some demand for this to be released on console and people are using strange ways to show it. I personally would love to see this on console as that is my preferred way to play games.
