When you first start the game in Craftopia and spawn on the starter island you are greeted by several tutorial NPCs. They don’t help much because their dialogue is limited. But they can serve a purpose as a catalyst for your generators.
Scattered throughout the islands of Craftopia you will find various NPCs. Some are extremely valuable and others are just pointless and are there for filler. I’ve previously talked about building merchant farms and Anubis is a key NPC for leveling up.
Most of the NPCs with names have quests for you. You will see a time remaining to let you know when you will lose the quest. The timer lasts one hour in real game playing time. Also, the quest will be the same no matter what island you find the NPC on. If Fisher Sanpei wants 3 crabs on an Island of the Cove level 7 and you find him on an Island of Residence level 6 it will be the exact same mission and reward until his quest timer resets.

Blacksmith Fergus
Where can you find Blacksmith Fergus?
You can find Blacksmith Fergus on most islands that have NPCs. I have found Fergus on the following islands.
- Island of Residence
- Island of Cove
- Island of Desert and Sand
- Island of Fallen Leaves
- Island of Cherry Blossoms
What is his quest?
Blacksmith Fergus has one quest. You give him a log and he rewards you with a Slate of Growth. His quest will reset just like the other NPCs. If he doesn’t have the hearts above his head then you can get a Slate of Growth from him.
Fisher Sanpei
Where can you find Fisher Sanpei?
Fisher Sanpei spawns in a variety of islands. I have found Sanpei on the following islands.
- Island of Residence – Spawns in the village.
- Island of Cove – Usually spawns with Fergus on a small isolated island with palm trees.
- Island of Fallen Leaves – Spawns in the small NPC encampment.
What is his quest?
Fisher Sanpei will always ask for fish. He usually wants 3 of a particular type and the rewards can vary based on island level. Early on you can get mana potions or health potions as rewards. He is the most likely to give you the multi-sling blueprint and often he asks for 3 crabs. I always try to have 3 crabs on hand to cash in on his quest.
Explorer Alwida
Where can you find Explorer Alwida?
Explorer Alwida spawns in a variety of islands. I have found Alwida on the following islands.
- Island of Residence – Spawns in the village.
- Island of Cove – Usually spawns with Fergus on a small isolated island with palm trees.
What is her quest?
Explorer Alwida will always ask for a random variety of hard-to-find items. I have had her ask for Gibeon and Peridot and she can give you some nice weapons in exchange for the items you find for her.
Merchant Smith
Where can you find Merchant Smith?
Merchant Smith spawns in a variety of islands. I have found Smith on the following islands:
- Island of Residence – Spawns in the village and at the top of the hill by the windmills.
- Island of Cove – Spawns in 3 different locations around the map one is very close to the default altar of transportation location.
- Island of the Big Bridge – Spawns near the big bridge.
- Island of Archipelago Uplift
What is his quest?
Merchant Smith does not have quests. Merchant Smith sells a variety of goods that vary based on island level. See this video for creating a Merchant farm.
Warrior Thorkel
Where can you find Warrior Thorkel?
Warrior Thorkel spawns in a variety of islands. I have found Thorkel on the following islands:
- Island of Residence – Spawns in the village.
- Island of Fallen Leaves – Spawns in the small NPC encampment.
- Island of Cherry Blossoms – Spawns in the small NPC encampment.
What is his quest?
Warrior Thorkel will always ask for proof of destroying bosses. He usually wants items with specific enchantments and the rewards can vary. I have received a Mjolnir and other rare weapons as rewards for his quests.
Hunter William
Where can you find Hunter William?
Hunter William spawns in a variety of islands. I have found William on the following islands:
- Island of Residence – Spawns in the village.
- Island of Fallen Leaves – Spawns in the small NPC encampment.
What is his quest?
Hunter William will always ask for proof of destroying bosses. He usually wants a Token the rewards can vary based on island level.
Receptionist Fan
Where can you find Receptionist Fan?
Receptionist Fan spawns in different trial dungeons. If the dungeons a trial such as Pull the Pin or Ball Kicking she will be the one you have to talk to.
What is her quest?
Receptionist Fan doesn’t really have a quest per see. More or less you talk to her and she opens the door to start the trial you are about to enter. You can capture her and make her a pet.
Researcher Faust
Where can you find Researcher Faust?
Researcher Faust spawns in a variety of islands. I have found Faust on the following islands:
- Island of Residence – Spawns in the village.
- Island of Fallen Leaves – Spawns in the small NPC encampment.
- Island of Cove – Spawns on an isolated island. Typically will be by himself.
What is his quest?
Researcher Faust will always ask you to find different artifacts. Things like the scratched research sample or ancient document. He will reward you with various objects depending on your level.
Anubis
Where can you find Anubis?
Every island except hell islands has a floating platform with a “good” Anubis. Hell islands have a Dark Anubis (Sin God, Sin Judging God).
What is his quest?
Anubis will increase your stats for turning in either 4 Slates of Growth or 4 (or more) Slates of Evolution. You can get increases in health, mana, or stamina for Slates of Growth or you can increase enchantment stats and inventory slots with Slates of Evolution.
Ambassadors
There are a variety of ambassadors in the game. They can spawn from Guest tables and Luxury Guest tables. When they spawn you talk to them and they will give you a gift from their civilization. The gifts can vary from some simple food from the Cooking civilization to Bauxite from the Mining civilization.
Villagers
In various encampments on different islands and on the Island of Residence you will find random-level Villagers. Most of them are not of much use. You can capture some of the villagers and make a villager baseball bat.
How can you get the Multi-Sling blueprint?
The multi-sling blueprint is acquired from an NPC quest. You must find the following NPCs in order to even have a chance to get the Multi-Sling blueprint on a level 3 or higher island.
- Warrior Thorkel
- Fisher Sanpei
- Researcher Faust
The quests system resets every hour so make sure you check these 3 for the quest on a level 3 island or higher (I would recommend a level 7 island). If none of them have the quest to reward a multi-sling blueprint then set a reminder for yourself to come back in an hour (of real time).
Other tips are to create multiple worlds and unlock some higher-level islands. You can carry the gear from your main character to the new world to assist in unlocking islands. Then every hour jump into the different worlds checking the reward quest to see if one of the three NPCs will reward you with a multi-sling blueprint.
I hope this guide gives you some good info on the NPCs of Craftopia. The NPCs are still limited but some of them provide key resources you need in the game.
