Chained Echoes Sacred Water Locations
In Chained Echoes, you will find an item called Sacred Water. This item is required to unlock the Heroes of Leonar challenges.
The Heroes of Leonar challenges are scattered across the land or sometimes in dungeons. They are statues and you will be offered a chance to pray at the statue. This requires one Sacred Water in your inventory.
Once you pray the statue will “challenge” you with a battle. The battle will normally be with enemies that are encountered in the area the statue is located.
Where do you find the sacred waters in Chained Echoes?
During the introduction quest with Sienna
During the first few hours of the game, you will be doing part of Sienna’s quest where she needs to steal an item. During this quest, the item that she steals is Sacred Water. It is part of the main story quest and is impossible to miss this one.
Reward Board Chain Rewards
If you go to the menu, then navigate to Journal, and then find the Reward Board. The reward board is set up like an achievement list.
- Defeat an enemy X amount of times
- Defeat a particular enemy (usually a rare enemy)
- Explore all areas in a region
- Find x out of x chests
If you do multiple items on the board those are called chains. If you chain enough together you can hit X (on Xbox) and see the rewards for the current chain you have going. If you have completed the chain (look on the left side for Longest Chain) there will be a red dot next to it and you can claim your reward. Here is where you can get at least 5 Sacred Water.
For chains 4, 16, 32, 48, and 72 your reward is Sacred Water.
The middle of Tormund
During the main quest, you will reach Tormund and wake up at the Inn. Explore the inn and you will find a room with a cat and a treasure chest. Open the treasure chest to find another Sacred Water.
This one can also be found while progressing through the main story. In the Leviathan Tunnel in the southeast portion, there is a path that looks impassible with some coral growing and a rock. Just walk around the rock through the tall coral and head down to the chest to find the Sacred Water.
Perpetua, north of the desert
In Perpetua, after you have Sky Armors fly north of the desert. There is a single chest and you can land your Sky Armors next to a tree, get out, and climb down to the area where the chest is located.
Hooge is a flying city of sorts. You will meet a new character named Tomke. Once you start his quest head to the eastern platform. You will have to jump on a platform that is going back and forth and then jump down a few spots to reach the chest.
During the main story, you will end up in New Wyrnshire. At the northern part close to the fast travel location head north to enter the castle of Wyrnshire. Keep heading up (north) to find the throne room and in the throne room, there is a chest with another Sacred Water.
In Ograne Grottos near the Mage Warrior shrine is the final Sacred Water. In order to reach this you must complete the quest “A Goblem Dilemma”. This quest allows access to the Goblin Village where there is a vendor who sells the berries needed to defeat the lizards and reach the emblem.
The Sacred Waters are only needed to unlock the statues so you can pray to the Heroes of Leonar. If you need help finding the class emblems and their status check out this guide.
