Showa American Story trailer released
A new reveal trailer for a game called Showa American Story has been released. This game is giving me Dead Rising vibes mixed with anime. The storyline is that Japan has purchased most of America with their economic might and immigrants have flooded just as an apocalypse happens.
The main character is a teenage girl who died and was resurrected. Looks like you will shoot and melee your way through hordes of maybe zombies? The visuals look great for Showa American Story in the trailer although most of those might be cut scenes.
This game has me very intrigued. The story and idea along with the combat system make me think it will have some great potential. No release date set yet but looking at the trailer it seems they are pretty far into the development of this game so hopefully we will hear something soon on Show American Story.
Take-Two makes an offer to buy Zynga
Take-Two the main publishers of big titles like GTA and NBA 2K has put in an offer to buy Zynga. The deal is reportedly worth $12.7 billion and would make it the largest video game company acquisition in history. The crazy part is they left it open for other companies to make a better offer so if someone else comes in the price tag can get higher.
It will be interesting to see where this leads as Take-Two is more about AAA titles and Zynga is more mobile game-oriented. Maybe it’s just to diversify their portfolio and drive growth.
