Medieval Dynasty – How to manage your villagers
This is a common issue I see with gamers of Medieval Dynasty. You recruit a villager, build them a house and assign the house, you then assign them to work in the woodshed.
The villager has an axe and seems to have everything needed to produce logs, firewood, and planks. But day after day you are not seeing any production.
Why is my woodshed not gathering firewood?
Even though you have assigned your villager to a building, that villager doesn’t know what you want them to produce. Each building has unique items that it can produce, and depending on the resource may require tools or other resources.
To combat this you must manage the production of the building.
Click on your management tab
This will default to people so switch to buildings
Tab over to the production tab (hammer with a small partial circle with an arrow on it)
Increase the % of what you want the person to produce
Some materials require other materials. Such as Firewood requires logs. If you want them to produce Firewood then you will need to increase the work intensity of their Log production to have the necessary resources.
For each building, there are different items that can be produced if a worker is assigned. Some items may be locked until you reach a certain technology level but most should have a base set of items that can be produced.
