Where to build your first house in Medieval Dynasty
In the game Medieval Dynasty, one of the first things you are tasked with is building your first house.
The game’s main purpose is for you to build a community, raise a child, and leave your child (dynasty) to continue your legacy. But in order to accomplish any of this you have to build a house.
There are many factors to consider when deciding where to start your village.
Do you build close to existing villages?
Do you build close to water?
Do you build close to mines?
All of these are things to consider, and I will do my best to explain what factors are important to the location you pick for building your first house in Medieval Dynasty.
Resources
In Medieval Dynasty you will need a lot of resources to build your village. You need stones for foundations, logs for frames, sticks for walls, and straw for roofs.
Making sure you start your village in an area that has all of these items readily accessible makes it easier on you to start building.
Try finding a location where you can pick up stones easily, cut down plenty of trees, and collect straw from reeds.
You will also want to consider where the animal population is in relation to your village. Having to travel long distances to hunt deer, rabbits, or other wild game can make for a long trip back to camp to drop off fur, leather, and meat.
Quests
Throughout the land, you will find people that will give you quests to help you gain resources, gold, and technology knowledge. But these quests are found mostly inside the villages that already exist.
Building far away from all of the villages means you will have to travel further to get quests and complete quests. Also, a good number of quests have you traveling from village to village so starting in a central location can help ease that burden.
Settlers
Another thing to consider is recruiting settlers for your community. They actually walk to your settlement so if your village is far away from other settlements it could take them a long time to get to your house.
Where is the best location to start a village in Medieval Dynasty?
My personal favorite choice is a location not too far from Gostovia. If you head down the path towards Borowo to cross the closest bridge, keep going down the path instead of crossing the bridge.
This area has lots of good resources. You have plenty of wood, clay deposits, and straw, and you are right on the water. It is also very close to Gostovia and Borowo to get quests and you are essentially in the middle of the valley so most villages are not too far from your house.
But if you want to try some different locations I have marked on the map a few different spots that offer a good balance of resources and are close to villages.
